Website Care & Ongoing Support

Keep your website current, dependable, and useful to your customers. I help Reno, Sparks, and Northern Nevada businesses maintain their websites and make thoughtful improvements after launch.

Work directly with Chris Hill for technical care, content updates, and ongoing website strategy. Remote support is also available nationwide.

Care for the website.
Keep improving the experience.

Choose the support your website needs. These are the areas I can cover; your proposal identifies the included tasks, frequency, and fees.

Software updates, backups, and troubleshooting

For websites that need regular technical upkeep or help when something stops working.

  • WordPress core, plugin, and theme updates where applicable
  • Backup arrangements and monitoring defined for your setup
  • Investigation of website errors and checks after changes

What you get: The maintenance work in your plan, checks of affected pages and forms, and a record of changes. A simple HTML site has different needs from WordPress; I scope care around your actual platform.

Content updates and smaller improvements

For a website that needs to keep up with your services, team, and customers.

  • Update service descriptions, hours, photos, and team details
  • Refresh work examples and information on existing pages
  • Improve navigation, links, and the steps leading to an inquiry

What you get: Updated pages checked on desktop and mobile. The plan defines how much editing is included; new pages, extensive copywriting, and added features are scoped before work starts.

Hosting help and website moves

For businesses that want help managing their setup without giving up control.

  • Work with your current hosting provider when it meets your needs
  • Help resolve hosting-related website issues
  • Plan a migration when a different host makes sense

What you get: Clear hosting responsibilities and authorized access for the work I handle. Migrations are separately scoped, and hosting charges are paid directly by you to the provider.

A clear support plan and work record

Know what is covered, how to request a change, and what has been completed.

  • A written scope with fees and included tasks
  • A request process, priorities, and response arrangements
  • A record of completed work and scheduled check-ins

What you get: Direct support from me and a shared view of the next priorities. You know which requests fit the plan and which need a separate quote.

Care, SEO, or a larger project?

Routine care keeps the website maintained and current. Keyword research, new search-focused content, link outreach, and ongoing search reporting belong in a dedicated SEO and local visibility engagement. A new structure or substantial visual change may call for a website redesign. These services can work together, with each part clearly priced and scoped.

Your hosting.
Your control.

You can keep your current host. I assess whether the setup supports your website before recommending a change.

If a move is needed, I can coordinate the migration, check the new setup, and test the site and inquiry paths. Domain, DNS, and email dependencies are accounted for in the migration plan.

Hosting support without giving up ownership

Your business can hold the hosting account, with me added as an authorized user. You retain account control and pay hosting charges directly to the provider, separately from my fees.

Hostinger is one hosting option I can help you set up and manage when it fits the project. I can also work with your existing provider; the choice follows the needs of your website.

New to Hostinger? Use my Hostinger referral link for 20% off your first eligible purchase. The offer is for new customers; existing Hostinger customers do not qualify.

I may earn a commission if you purchase through this link. I can help you choose a suitable plan before you buy.

The proposal identifies hosting responsibilities, access, and any additional software costs before work begins.

The details that matter after launch.

My project work shows the practical thinking I bring to website support.

Check the inquiry path

For Sierra Pallet’s redesign, I tested the quote-request delivery path as well as the customer-facing experience. That same attention matters when forms, hosting, or site settings change.

Make future updates practical

The Humboldt Moving & Storage redesign brought service and location information into a WordPress experience designed to be maintainable. Clear structure makes it easier to keep useful information current as the business changes.

Start with the website you have.

You do not need to commit to a rebuild to get useful support.

Review the starting pointI look at the platform, access, known issues, and your priorities. Existing provider responsibilities are part of that conversation.
Agree on scope and investmentReceive a written plan with included tasks, update frequency, request handling, response arrangements, and fees. Hosting and larger projects are priced separately.
Implement and checkMake agreed changes and check the pages, forms, and functionality they affect.
Review and adjustUse the work completed, available evidence, and your business priorities to decide what to improve next.

Not sure where to begin? A focused website audit can establish the first priorities. Churches can explore website design and ongoing care for ministries.

Questions about ongoing website support

Ownership, hosting, scope, and what happens after launch.

Give your website the attention it needs.

Tell me about your website, the updates you need, and what is getting in the way. I will help define a suitable support engagement and its scope.
